Storybook Favorites

The first storybook I chose was Elephants in India which includes bedtime stories. The topic is fun and interesting because it has the twist of involving elephants and not simply being traditional bedtime stories. The introduction was clear to what the storybook would be about and the author used funny and creative text so it was enjoyable as well. Elephants, in my opinion, are used a lot as a symbol of something that is calm and laid back. I thought the design of this book really exemplified that. Elephants are one of my favorite animals and I love the picture that she used on the front of the older elephant and the baby.Elephants in India

The second storybook I chose was CSI: the Tales of the Seven Pilgrims. It is a very creative and unique site that catches the eye of any crime scene show lover like myself. The introduction is good because it has a written description as well as pictures of all of the characters. I am a visual person so I enjoy being able to see what characters look like when reading about a story. I liked the design because it is appropriate for CSI with the dark colors, but it is also not hard to read or see any pictures.CSI

Lastly, I chose Gossip Girl: the Dirt on Hawaii’s Elite. I chose it because Gossip Girl is one of my favorite shows and Hawaii is one of my favorite places. I loved the introduction because it was fun to read and she really used the Gossip Girl theme well while also explaining what the stories would be about; it made me want to keep reading her storybook. The design was great and I liked the bright colors she used. I also like that she chose a different font because it went well with the rest of the design and was still readable.Gossip Girl
