Gospel of Mark: For this coming weeks post I want to read the Gospel of Mark. I grew up Christian and went to a Christian school for 13 years before coming to college so I am familiar with what it contains, but I have never read it as one reading. I am interested to see if any of my previous interpretations change when I read it as one continuous gospel.
Saints and Animals: I chose this reading because I am familiar with Saint Francis of Assisi, but I was not aware that there are other saints associated with animals so I am interested to learn about these people.
Future weeks
Noah: I love having backstories and other little details about stories I have read. I think this will be very interesting because it has just that!

Cherokee Myths: I took a Native American class a few semesters ago and a big topic in the class was Indian myths. I am interested to read some that are specific to the Cherokee tribe.
Tejas Legends: I am from Texas and I like learning about its history. I think this reading will be very interesting because it draws its stories from nature.
